This is Goring Tennis Club today.
Here in Goring-on-Thames, not to be confused with Goring by the Sea, our clubhouse is nestled in the Goring Gap valley where the River Thames cuts through the Chiltern Hills.
We are most fortunate in looking out over beautiful open countryside and often have Red Kites soaring over the tennis courts as we play. Despite one of our previous chairman using this as an excuse for his occasional lapse of concentration, we have adopted the Red Kite as our Club Emblem.
Now celebrating our 40th Anniversary and looking back over how the club has developed, we are grateful for the early support from our two sister clubs Upper Basildon Tennis Club and Mapledurham Tennis Club
